After a devastating house fire and a series of incredibly difficult circumstances, Laura* was separated from her three boys. Their family was at real risk of being broken apart. 

“It was the scariest day of my life,” Laura says. “I thought they were going to get taken completely away from me permanently… I just didn’t want to lose my kids forever.” 

When her boys returned home, they were frightened and withdrawn. At every knock on the door, they hid under blankets, terrified they’d be taken again.
